Prosperity and Abundance

Focusing on Prosperity and Abundance

Do you feel you struggle a lot? Maybe you believe you don’t have as much money as you want, or you don’t get good opportunities to show your talent, or you do not achieve the level of success you want. When you live with a mindset of scarcity, you can make yourself believe that you have to fight for what you want and protect what you already have.

The scarcity mindset can be insidious because we are largely unaware of these negative or limiting beliefs that are holding us back from fulfilling our true potential. Most of our limiting beliefs start in our childhood and follow us throughout our lives as they become defining characteristics that we blindly accept without question. For example, “I’m not smart enough,” “I’ve never been able to understand this subject,” or “I can’t do these things because I’m unhealthy.” These beliefs about ourselves limit our availability to the many opportunities that we can seize, if we just try.

The other side is living with the mindset of abundance and prosperity. Abundance means you have more than what you need. Prosperity is defined as “the condition of thriving or being successful.” When we put these two definitions into perspective, we can see we have the ability to choose to live with the belief that everything we need is always provided; this includes the possibility that we are capable. Period. As always, our mindset, or attitude, must be in alignment with the direction we plan for our lives to follow. Therefore, the amount we can receive is only limited by our beliefs.

Prosperity is an option available to us all. We can have anything that we focus on with expectation. One way to put these words into action is to constantly find new opportunities to enrich your life. In order to do so, you must remain open to new opportunities. The opportunities presented may be subtle, but take the time to notice them. Then, take advantage of these opportunities to the fullest. Look for instances that allow you to enhance your life each day. These few small changes can gradually shift your mindset from one of scarcity, to one of abundance.
